State Liaisons
Wanted: Enthusiastic go-getter willing to donate time and effort to support NSN’s stated mission of bringing together and nurturing individuals and organizations that use the power of storytelling in all its forms.
What is a State Liaison?
Quite simply, a State Liaison (SL) is a hard working, caring individual who is firm in the belief that NSN membership involves service. Liaisons serve as the official town criers, advocates for story and NSN within their states. This is a perfect opportunity for new members, or anyone, to become more connected.
State Liaisons serve on NSN committees. Behind the scenes of every NSN conference you’ll find SLs. They accept special projects NSN sends their way. They beta-test NSN changes. They communicate via SL conference calls and email listserv. They contact NSN with concerns, and excellent ideas. They are often the first friendly face newcomers to NSN see.
